Sclerotium gum is a natural gum used to thicken and stabilise emulsions. It is a polysaccharide (sugar-based) produced through a fermentation process of Sclerotium rolfsii on a glucose-based medium. It has natural skin soothing and smoothing properties, and acts as a conditioning agent in haircare.
