The Le Lapin affiliate programme (the “White Rabbit Brigade”) allows you to earn commissions on all sales made through the Le Lapin online store that are generated by your referral link.
Registration
Signing up to join the White Rabbit Brigade is easy and free. Apply now and your application will be reviewed within 3 business days. Remember to check your junk or spam folders if you haven’t received any emails from us.
If you are approved, your affiliate account will grant access to a reporting interface where you can track performance, and you can begin promoting Le Lapin via referral links immediately. When someone clicks your referral link and then goes on to complete a purchase on the Le Lapin website, a referral will be created in your account.
Commissions
As an affiliate, commissions are eligible on sales for a generous 60 days after someone clicks on your referral link.
Commission rates are a percentage of the total amount charged to a customer, less any freight costs. You’ll earn 10% commission when a customer makes their first purchase using your referral link and 6% commission for every future sale that same customer makes. As a bonus, you can earn commissions on your own personal purchases by referring yourself via one of your links.
We pay out affiliate commissions directly to your bank account or via PayPal in the first week of every month.
If a customer returns a product for a refund, or if credit card charges are reversed due to a dispute or credit card fraud, your account will be debited for any commission earned on that transaction. (If a product is lost or damaged and we ship replacement goods to the customer, your commission will not be affected.)
We reserve the right to reject affiliate commissions for any reason. Commission rejections may occur for the following reasons:
- The sale that the referral was based on was refunded.
- The method by which the referral was generated was in violation of our promotional policies or violated the spirit of the Affiliate Terms.
Products eligible for commission are subject to change at Le Lapin’s discretion. Programme rates are reviewed periodically, with appropriate changes made based on market conditions.
Note a referral won’t be awarded if:
- The customer uses a different browser to purchase than the one originally used to visit our site (as the cookie doesn’t exist in that browser).
- The customer makes a purchase after 60 days (as the cookie will have expired).
Details of the White Rabbit Brigade in summary:
- You’ll receive 10% commission on every new customer you refer who goes on to complete a purchase.
- Thereafter, you’ll receive 6% commission on every additional purchase made by customers you have referred to Le Lapin via your referral link.
- Earn commission generated by your own purchases.
- Commissions are paid within the first week of each month with no minimum payout.
Referral links
Send your referral link to friends, place it on your website, blog or emails, share it on your social media, or anywhere else. You can choose to link via badges or banner art, in addition to plain text links. When using badges or banner art to promote Le Lapin, please ensure you follow our guidelines.
Le Lapin utilises direct link tracking. This means, as a member of the White Rabbit Brigade, you are able to link directly to the Le Lapin website without the need for referral IDs or tokens (e.g. ?ref=123 or /ref/123) when you link to our site from your own website.
You can submit a direct link to your website from your Affiliate Portal. Pending review, you’ll no longer need to use a referral link when linking to the Le Lapin website directly from your website and will still qualify for your commission, without having to remember to add your unique referral ID.
Note: Direct link tracking is only available for use when linking to Le Lapin from your own website. A referral ID must still be used when linking via social media, emails or anywhere other than your website.
News and updates
By joining the White Rabbit Brigade, you agree to receive emails from Le Lapin. These emails will be specifically for affiliates and may include relevant news and updates or important information regarding the White Rabbit Brigade affiliate programme.
Application rejections
We reserve the right to reject affiliate applications for any reason. Reasons for a rejected application may include, but are not limited to, a website or content that:
- uses misleading or deceptive means to prompt clicks.
- includes Le Lapin in its domain name.
- contains hate, violence or offensive content or sexually explicit material.
- promotes discrimination, illegal activities or otherwise violates any applicable laws.
- includes other inappropriate elements.
What is deemed inappropriate is at Le Lapin’s sole discretion and we reserve the right to choose whether or not we provide an explanation for the rejection.
If you think your application has been denied in error, reach out to us and provide your name or company name, email and date of your application.
Prohibited promotional methods
We love our products and want affiliates who are committed to promoting us. To ensure we’re all on the same footing, below are a few prohibited promotional methods to outline what isn’t allowed as a member of the White Rabbit Brigade:
- Promoting incorrect, misleading or false information.
- Paying for ads through services such as Google AdWords, social ads, or retargeting ads using our brand keywords and your affiliate link.
- Promoting Le Lapin on coupon sites with your affiliate link.
- Spam of any sort.
- Illegal activities or activities deemed offensive or inappropriate by us.
- Purporting to be, or to be professionally associated with, Le Lapin.
If you are unsure or concerned about whether or not your activity may be considered prohibited, please don’t hesitate to ask us.
If any of your promotional methods violate these terms, your referrals may be rejected and we may disable your affiliate account. We reserve the right to do this and may or may not notify you in the instance that this occurs.
The Agreement
By accepting these terms and conditions you are providing your non-legal agreement to abide by them. By registering and being approved as an affiliate in our affiliate programme you agree that your commissions are subject to approval before they are accepted and subsequently paid.
The affiliate relationship does not represent a professional or formal agreement, and as an affiliate you are not an employee of House of Le Lapin. You agree that this is not a legally binding relationship and as a result may not take legal action against House of Le Lapin. These affiliate terms and conditions are subject to change without notice.
